Both QR Code Versions Are Currently In Circulation.
Products with our new QR code with a green frame as well as products with an existing QR code without a frame are currently in circulation.
Both are valid and fully usable. Only the new QR code already supports direct digital authentication. Products with the previous QR code can still be verified using our contact form — quickly and easily.

Not every unusual appearance or unclear scan result means that a product is counterfeit.
There are a few simple checks you can make first. If you still have doubts afterwards, LIQUI MOLY can review the case through the contact form further down the page.
Trust Your
First Impression.
Sometimes abnormalities can be detected without scanning the QR code.
For example, the packaging or label may appear unusual, or security features may be missing or damaged.
Use the registration form further down the page and complete the requested information. LIQUI MOLY will then review the case.
An Unclear Result?
Don't Panic.
Not every scan gives a clear result immediately.
If you are shown a possible counterfeit result, this can sometimes be caused by an error. In certain cases, the system may initially identify the product as suspicious even when there is a technical reason for the result.
Confirm that the product has a QR security code.
If the QR code is damaged, the product serial number can also be entered in the app.
A dirty or blurred camera lens can prevent the QR code from being read correctly.
Make sure the QR code and security label are clean and clearly visible.
Scan the code again using another smartphone if possible.
Technical Complications Are Rare.
If the scan still does not work after these checks, let us know and we will review it. In rare technical cases, you may be redirected to the LIQUI MOLY app after scanning so that the code can be scanned again.
